Seems like a good price for a low mileage specimen. Is there anything specific he should look for?

I would say MEBBE if he has some dollas or turns wrenches; it would be awesome to have otherwise.

Yeah, wow. You weren't kidding about the low miles. $24K is not bad at all.

Haha I love FDs but it's been so long since I looked at them, I totally forgot about the absolutely insane Bose Acoustimass sub in the trunk.

Okay it's $24k. One thing to look for: his bank account balance. It might cost $24k now but expect to be constantly dropping money into it. Plan on another $10-$15k in expenses over the next couple of years not counting mods to be on the safe side.

Anything he should look for? Sure... A V8!!!!! Trololololol

It does look pretty nice. $24k is steep though. In it's current condition, it will probably appreciate over time. If your buddy isn't concerned with it losing value, go for it. If he's going to drive it a lot, get a cheaper one.

It is already out of super low mileage collector status. It is a 20 year old car with 20 year old rubber bits that need to be inspected and replaced as needed. If he is planning on using it as a daily, I think maybe a higher mileage car would be better as this car would lose serious value if it started accruing 13,000 miles a year. But for a fun toy to use on weekends it could be a very fun car indeed. I've always loved the FD's and would love to have one but they take a whole lot of love and devotion to keep them on the road. If he has the cash to buy it and maintain it properly so this doesn't end up as another RX-7 with a V8 shoved in it he should go for it. You would be hard pressed to find a better FD.
